Day 1 - 2.8
Tracking my time: Thursdays I work at 5:30am. I work at the Law Library at Brigham Young University and on weekdays, the library opens at 6am and closes at 12am. I worked from 5:30 to 9am then went to a physical therapy appointment. I drove to work this morning so I could make it to my PT appointment on time right after work. Normally, I feel like my PT appointments take forever and go on and on, but today, it went by pretty quickly. Overall it takes me about an hour and a half to meet with the physical therapist and then go through my exercises. I go for my shoulder, which I injured while white-water kayaking a few years ago. Right after PT I ran to McDonalds to grab breakfast/lunch as I'd forgotten to pack a breakfast for work last night. After grabbing my food, I ran back to work for out weekly training meeting. Every Thursday at 1:30pm I have a major assignment due for my Political Science class that focuses in statistical analysis. Each week, about 10-12 hours of my time goes towards that assignment. Wednesday night I stay up far too late scrambling to finish before the deadline the next day. In between my Poli Sci class at 1:30 and training which ends at 12, I double check all my math and finish off any last minute issues with the assignment before turning it in.
Normally, on Thursdays after class I go home and take a nap, but today I decided to switch things up. Thursdays are like my Fridays. I try not to do anything because my whole week leads up to it, so I justify not studying for any class. This week though, I can't do that. I have a nutrition midterm that has opened that I am going to take next week, so I need to study for that. I also have a midterm for my Introduction to Dance class which I need to prepare for and start as it is open book, online.
This evening, I had all the meaning to do homework. I went for a run after class, just a short 1.5 mile. After making an odd compilation of fish and spaghetti, my roommates and I decided to go to the temple and do sealings. It was so much better than doing homework, however tomorrow I will need to be on top of my to-do list. Overall, I think I got done what I needed to. I didn't do everything I wanted to but I am learning that getting things done that I need are more important than want sometimes.
